Yogi Bhajan

THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF SAT NAM RASAYAN

THE ORIGIN: YOGI BHAJAN

The SNR School starts from Yogi Bhajan (1926-2004), master of Kundalini Yoga, White Tantra Yoga and Sat Nam Rasayan. Gurudev Singh, his disciple, started studying SNR with him in 1978. His learning was done in the traditional way, that is, in silence, without naming the system. It was enough for the student to be open to the teacher to participate in his state of consciousness. Guru Dev Singh spent six years with his teacher until he asked her to heal.

In 1988, Yogi Bhajan asked Gurudev to settle in Rome and create a school there to teach what he learned. The condition was that words be used - not in silence, as before - and that the school be open to anyone interested. Students would develop through practice and meditative discipline. In 1991 Yogi Bhajan himself began receiving healings from students at the school. Where did you learn this?, he once asked a student. From you, through Gurudev, she answered her. And so the School was considered functionally created.
